“DESTROYED METAL” / 12″ X 12″ / ACRYLIC ON CANVAS
“The metal sign, or ‘sign of the goat,’ has all but lost its impact as a token of respectful recognition for something truly ‘rocking’ or ‘metal,'” SMC president Terence “Geezer” Butler said. According to Butler, members are upset that their sacred gesture is being used to acknowledge and celebrate “favorable but clearly non-metal events.”
I read this article and it inspired me to make this painting… I love the idea that a hand gesture can be abused… awesome!

New Resin and Acrylic painting / 48″ X 66″ / Commissioned
The women of FRINGE, the Oklahoma City Women’s Art Organization, would like to invite you to their premier show, LINK. This eclectic gathering of artwork focuses on how women are “linked” together through the very diverse roles they play in society. Each artist will address the concept individually; allowing for their own interpretation of how being a female affects their personal world. The work communicates how women universally share an unspoken kinship with one another, whether it is through apron strings or g-strings.
Here is an abstract painting from 2008.
